The OUTer Gay and Lesbian Science Fiction / Fantasy Film Festival, a unique festival by, for and about gay, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender in the genre of science fiction, fantasy and/or horror puts fourth a CALL FOR ENTRIES and is now accepting submissions into the 2008 festival.
For it's fifth year, the OUTer Gay and Lesbian Science Fiction / Fantasy Film Festival continues to seek feature length films, short films, viral videos, documentaries, music videos, freeform, experimental, mock-u-entries, trailers and animated works on both DVD and VHS formats to exhibit at this year's festival. As the festival continues to grow and mature, it seeks to promote and encourage gay and lesbians to go beyond where few filmmakers have gone before. Good Luck to all you queer space cadets.
EXPOSURE: Selected short films will be promoted and distributed by the OUTer Film Festival to other festivals for exhibition. This is a great way to expose and promote filmmakers and the genre of science fiction around the country and world. To participate, please sign the release at the bottom of the submission form if you wish to allow The OUTer Film Festival to promote your submission film as part of a compilation submitted by OUTer into other film festivals in 2008 festival season and take part as part of The OUTer Film Festival at Gaylaxicon 2008.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Film content must be of interest to the GLBT community or
be relevant to the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual or Transgendered
life style.
Submitted film needs to be provided on a DVD or VHS tape
formatted in NTSC.
DVD or tape must be labeled inside and out with the film title,
filmmakers or producers name and contact
information.
Please include promotional photo(s) of film on a disc, or
via email, along with submission form. You may email this
info to timothy@outerfilmfest.com.
A submission form needs to be completed and included for
each entry submitted to the festival.
All entries should be received no later than
September 15, 2007 ( NOW September 15, 2008 )

If you film is accepted to be exhibited in the film festival, and exhibition copy must be provided to the festival upon request if different than the submitted copy. A return shipping fee will be covered by the OUTer Film Festival. In case of damaged or loss on the part of the festival of exhibition copy, the responsibility of the festival is limited to the cost, repair or replacement of the print.
